You’d think that preparing to go back to Brazil after so long would be easy right? All you’d have to do was pack bathing suits and you’re good to go. While I wish it was that simple, I’d like to think that it’s a bit more complicated.
In my opinion, preparing for a trip is probably the most important part. You must keep in mind that going out of the country, or anywhere, can become less stressful if you know exactly what’s going to be happening and exactly what you’re going to be bringing.
We started preparing for our Brazil trip one year before it happened. While we all love spontaneous trips sometimes, a trip this big needed a lot of planning. The first thing is to search up your destination. Even if it’s somewhere you’ve already been to, knowing more won’t hurt.
Planning and organizing vacations are something that has always interested me. Not only does this help you understand your destination more, but it also makes packing a lot easier. I don’t know about you but if there’s one thing I hate about traveling, is the packing. I always feel like I’m going to forget something and that leads to procrastination.
Where Do You Want To Go?

One way that I try to make packing easier for everyone involved is to make sure I have an itinerary all set up before going on the trip. When this is figured out, you’re able to plan your outfits accordingly. I don’t know about you but I either overpack or under pack. Knowing your plans for the trip and how those places even look can help make sure you’re packing the right kinds of things.
Another great packing tip is to look at the weather. With the weather being unpredictable, it can be hard to really know how it’s going to be at the time of your trip. It’s basically more of a precautionary measure. Besides, you wouldn’t bring a bathing suit to a snowy destination.
Rewinding back to the very beginning, when you first decide to even go on a trip! It’s important to know your budget when you’re about to travel somewhere. When we decided to go to Brazil, we knew it was going to be a more expensive trip. This is because we were going to. different continents, we were staying there for more than a couple days, and it was more than 25 years since we visited.
Taking all those things into consideration, we knew that we had to save money to be able to enjoy this trip to the fullest. When you’re planning a trip, it’s a good idea to research some budget- friendly things to do while you’re there. This way you can enjoy MORE things without breaking the bank.
Details That Matter
Now to go a bit deeper. I would say that before a trip it’s good to go and do your nails and get your hair done but then I would just be lying. I’m not one that gets my nails done, nor my hair. Because of this, there isn’t much pre-planning to be done beforehand.
Some of the only things I like to do is make sure that I’m taking care of my skin, hair, and health before I go on any trip. When you travel, you’re usually falling out of your usual routine. This isn’t a bad thing because your body needs balance to truly grow but because of it, I want to make sure I’m taking care of myself as much as possible beforehand.
Since I knew I was going to be out in the sun a lot and constantly being in the water, I made it part of my routine to moisturize and condition as much as I possibly could before we left. Not only does this help make me feel like I can truly let go on vacation, but it helps make me feel so much more relaxed and prepared to have the best time.
While going on vacation can be a great thing for you and your family, don’t forget that preparing is half the hassle! Making sure that you are well organized will help make your trip as smooth as possible. For more tips, tricks, and content on all the trips we go make sure to subscribe!
